James qualified as a dentist from the University of Pretoria in South Africa where he obtained a B.Sc and a B.Ch.D degree. He was the principal a family Dental Practice in South Africa for many years before relocating to the UK with his family in 2002. He has been a dentist in the local area for many years. He is married to Marianne and they have 3 sons.
James enjoys all areas in Dentistry but he finds the fields of preventive and aesthetic restorative dentistry particularly interesting. He regularly attends continuous professional development courses all over the world that enable him to offer the latest in innovation and dental technology. He has also attend various courses that enable him to stay abreast in the field of facial aesthetic enhancement treatments such as wrinkle reduction and Dermal Fillers should patients ask for them. Away from work James enjoys travelling, cycling, scuba diving and cultivating Bonsai trees in his spare time. James is known by his patients as a calm and caring man with a passion for rugby. He likes to BBQ often and enjoys a glass of good wine over weekends.
Marianne is our Practice Manager. Marianne obtained a BA( Psych )degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa where she met and married James. She has been Head of Department Psychology at Dane Court Grammar School in Broadstairs for many years before joining the Practice full time. In her spare time Marianne enjoys travelling to wherever there is a beach, painting, yoga and reading, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Penny is the familiar face behind the reception desk. She has many years of Dental Reception experience and we are lucky to have this efficient and caring lady on our team. She is an excellent multi-tasker with strong values and excellent communication skills. Penny enjoys cooking, gardening and musical theatre in her spare time.
Sue has been a dental nurse for many years but she took time out to raise her children, they have now all flown the nest and she can return to her profession. Sue has a stunning smile and her positive outlook on life makes her the ideal dental nurse. James relies on her to make things run smoothly in the Surgery and she regularly attends CPD courses to keep her up to date with the latest GDC and CQC regulations. Sue is married to Anthony and they both love travelling. They have been to many interesting places in the world. Sue loves shopping and spending time with her friends.
Katie is a qualified dental nurse and has been a nursing since the age of 17. She is passionate about oral surgery and IV sedation and always try to put patients at ease when they enter the treatment room. Katie is a qualified life guard and in her spare time she loves to go swimming when she can.
Izzy started her dental nursing training in June 2024. She has a fine arts degree and is a qualified personal trainer and yoga teacher. Izzy loves cooking and enjoysgood food with her family and friends.
Yolande is well known in the Broadstairs area for being an excellent oral hygienist. Her compassionate and gentle manner has won her many loyal patients over the years. She is a keen student and has continued with her studies through the Open University. Yolande has got years of experience in the oral hygiene field and is very competent. If she is not working she spends time with her lovely family. Two annual visits to Yolande are included free of charge if you join our practice plan.
Joanne is another friendly member of our Hygienist team. She has worked in the local area for many years and enjoys having friendly chats with her patients as she helps them to maintain their sparkly smiles. Joanne enjoys living in Broadstairs and going for cycle rides along the coast regularly. Both her and her husband love travelling to interesting places where they can soak up the sun and relax.
Leanne joined us as a Hygienist in November 2023. She enjoys building strong relationships with her patients and making their dental visits comfortable. as possible. In her spare time, she enjoys coastal walks and spending time with family and friends.
Anuja joined us early in 2023. She qualified as a dentist in Sri Lanka before relocating to the UK, where she re-qualified as a Dental Hygienist. Anuja loves reading and can't resist a challenging puzzle. When the weather allows it, she loves to take long walks along the seaside in her spare time.
